Before I hear it from everyone...I know...its been a really long time since I've updated. In the time I've not been updating I have come to two executive conclusions that are vital to my very existance. I have decided, first of all, that I dont want to date anymore. So far it has proved relatively unproductive and therefore has become useless to me. And for anyone who may not know...I am single as of last Monday. Secondly, I am never singing in public again. Choir directors all seem to hate me but never do anything to help me get better since I'm never good enough, so I'm just going to stop all together...as soon as Christmas is over because mom is already making me do that. Otherwise, I am strictly drama. On a less depressing note...here's a question. If you were a new beverage being introduced to society, what would you call yourself and what would you taste like?

I have a question. Make sure you answer honestly! Do you light up like a firefly when you mate? Just curious.

wow...sometimes I feel like I suck at life. Like now for instance...I havent updated in forever. My life isnt too terribly interesting at all so it's not like you've missed too much. Just in case you didnt already know, Robbie and I are official now. He went with me to Nebraska to hang out with my family at a cowboy shoot and asked dad last weekend. That was fun and entertaining. I like him a whole bunch...haha...I guess its a good thing we're dating then. oh man. Sometimes I'm rediculous. Oh!! More sweet news! I made Morning Star Revue! Its the drama ministry group at our school. I wanted to get into it more than anything last year and was so super scared that I wasnt going to but then I did and it pretty much made my year. Maybe its not quite that great, but it still rocks my face. ok...so anyway. Thats my life in a nutshell...except to say that my summer rocked so much. I'm glad I went to Iowa. and I'm glad I'm back to my favorite roommate ever here at school. The end ~OliVeJuiCe~
| So...I'd like to start this post by apologizing for not writting anything sooner. There's so much happening up here and time just kind of disappears. Anyway...on with the important stuff.
So...on Monday of this past week I cut someone's hair for the first time in my life...a guys hair. It turned out pretty good and I even used paper scissors. Thats right...the kind that you buy for 4th grade school supplies. They were the only scissors in the building and the cut took an hour. Holy Cow...but it was pretty fun.
So...last night was one of the craziest nights of my life and I'm not even joking. First, you need some background information. Every year the camp has "intruders" who come onto camp property and ring the bell or other stupid simple things that do no harm except scare the campers. This week, they came on three times. Twice to ring the bell and the third time they left us a roll of small fireworks 12 inches in diameter (that they lit before running away) in the parking lot. It went off for a couple of minutes before anyone could get to them and stop them while in the process waking up everyone at camp. Right now we have a roll of fireworks sitting in the main office that is about 8-10 inches in diameter. All the guys on staff are pretty excited to have them cuz they didnt have to pay for them. lol...anyway...Last night Sara, Kelsey and I were the only girls still around, so we decided to go shopping together and just generally bond. On our way back Andrew kept calling us and telling us to hurry up and get back. He sounded like he was crying and kept saying how scared he was that the intruders would get him. Knowing Andrew though, we knew he was exaggerating and was most likely just bored and wanted us to be back so he wasnt alone. So we hurried back anyway. As we're getting out of Kelsey's car and headed back into the cabin Sara leans into me about to ask "What if the intruders are watching us?" and I'm thinking "What if they're just being dumb and trying to scare us?" Right before either of those thoughts/questions come out of our mouths a flashlight flips on right under the tree we were walking next to pointed straight at us. Sara and I latched onto each other and scream. I just screamed a little bit...but Sara keeps going with a scream that makes you think someone is trying to kill her...it was funny. Then the boys (Andrew and Aaron) come out from under the tree laughing hysterically. In light of what Sara was just about to say, that was even scarier. When Sara screamed, two other guys at camp could hear her from about a half mile away and came sprinting to the cabin to rescue us or something. Once they figured out that it was a prank and we were ok-ish they all got dressed in black to patrol the area for the actual intruders while we sat down to watch a movie. About half an hour into the movie a waterballoon hit the front window...right next to us. Sara jumped and Kelsey and I looked at the window. I decided that just for our own sanity we should think it was simply the guys again and go back to the movie...so we did. 10 minutes later Kelsey decides we should make sure it really was just the guys and calls Andrew. He asks her wear we are. So she tells him we're in Guest (the name of the staff cabin) watching our movie still and he tells us to lock the doors. Apparently he had just seem three people walk by the front of Guest and just assumed it was us. Well, Sara freaks out even more and refuses to move without someone beside her at all times while Kelsey (still on the phone) checks out the back door. On the other end of the phone, Andrew says that he can see her looking out the door and comes down. Right before he gets there, I realize I am freezing cold and head back to my room to get my blanket. Well, being the kind of person I am, I dont shut doors behind me when inside. My bedroom door was shut when I went back there. I had been doing good about not freaking out too bad up until that point. I walk back out and tell the girls. They freak out. Then Aaron comes in and we send him on the mission to check out my room. Turns out I just closed the door behind myself without realizing I had. That was a relief. Aaron hadnt heard the water balloon story yet and he looks worried cuz he didnt do it. So he goes outside and finds a broken piece of water balloon and comes back in. Finally we settle down a little bit. Right then, Ben and Ace decide to be funny (they're the guys who came running to make sure we were ok) and come up and hit the front window just to scare us. Well...Sara screamed Kelsey dropped herself to the floor as fast as she could while in the process grabbing my leg which is the only thing that scared me. I squeeked and then started laughing cuz I'm finding this whole things highly entertaining now. It was silly and scary all in one. After Ace apologized and gave us all hugs, the boys head out again after telling us to hide...or at least get out of the main room with the huge windows. So we all sat in Kelsey's room in the corner huddled together and prayed like mad. Somewhere in all this mess someone had paged Guest or called Aaron and said that the intruders were outside so the boys took off. and then returned not too long after. Aaron came and got us out of the corner in Kelseys room and then escorted us to Staff house (which is where the boys ran from at the beginning and where everyone was hanging out before). We felt safer over there because there were more people and curtains on the windows. After a while I feel like its just silly and I'm tired so Jeff and I walk back. It was about 11:30 when everything calmed down. None of us went to bed until after 1 though. So...its been quite the eventful weekend so far and Sunday has just started.
If you made it this far, you are my hero. I should have cookies or something for the brave souls who read all about my Saturday night. Anyway. I've been on too long trying to get this whole story down so I should go.
